We offer a decommissioned shipping container 12m (40 ft) in the High Cube version. This is a container in the Cargo Worthy category – fully suitable for marine and land transport of goods. Each container is fitted with a valid CSC plate (Convention for Safe Containers), confirming its safety and operational fitness according to international standards. The container is currently stored in a container depot in Poznań, Poland, from where it is ready for immediate pickupself-pickup, transport is not included in the price.

Dimensions of the 40 ft High Cube Container

The 12m (40 ft) High Cube shipping container differs from the standard version mainly in its height, which provides the user with greater interior space and better usability. Below we list the standard dimensions of this type:

  • Exterior length: 12,192 mm (40 ft)
  • Exterior width: 2,438 mm (8 ft)
  • Exterior height: 2,896 mm (9 ft 6 inches)
  • Interior length: approximately 12,032 mm
  • Interior width: approximately 2,352 mm
  • Interior height: approximately 2,698 mm

These dimensions may vary slightly from piece to piece and by manufacturer in the order of a few millimeters, but always comply with international ISO standards.

Load Capacity and Volume

40 ft High Cube containers excel not only in increased space but also in robust construction with high load capacity. Standard parameters are as follows:

  • Maximum Gross Weight (MGW): 30,480 kg (some series up to 32,500 kg)
  • Container tare weight: approximately 3,800–4,100 kg depending on manufacturer and material
  • Maximum payload: approximately 26,380–28,680 kg
  • Interior volume: approximately 76.4 m³

Thanks to these values, the 12m shipping container is ideal not only for transporting oversized shipments but also for storage, construction purposes, or conversions into mobile objects. The increased interior height compared to a standard 40 ft container (by about 30 cm) will be appreciated especially when handling taller pallets or when installing a mezzanine.

Cargo Worthy Quality with CSC Plate

The container falls into the Cargo Worthy category. This means it is maintained in a technical condition meeting the requirements for the safe transport of goods by sea and by road. It is fitted with a valid CSC plate, which is an international document of the container’s fitness. On the plate you will find information about the date of manufacture, maximum weight, and date of the last periodic inspection.

This 12m shipping container still offers a long service life. The visual condition corresponds to a decommissioned container – you can expect minor scratches, dents, or surface corrosion, but not damage affecting the structure, tightness, or door functionality. The floors are intact, the door mechanisms are functional, and the gaskets are elastic.

Pickup at the Poznań Depot in Poland

The container price does not include transport. The container is ready for pickup at the container depot in Poznań, Poland. The customer must arrange transport to the destination independently. Likewise, unloading at the destination is entirely the buyer’s responsibility. After completing the transaction, you will be emailed all instructions necessary for picking up the container from the terminal. These documents (usually the shipment reference number, depot location, and terminal operator contact details) are to be handed over to the carrier of your choice. Based on them, the carrier will pick up the container at the depot and deliver it to the address you specify. We recommend using the services of a local carrier experienced in handling containers and equipped with suitable equipment (hook loader, lowboy trailer with extendable ramps, or a crane).

The container in the illustrative photos is only a sample. Because we have a larger number of pieces in the depot, you will usually receive a different item, but always in the same quality category, type, size, and design. Container color changes daily – please check the current availability of a specific shade by personal inquiry before completing the order. Please note that for safety and operational reasons, customers do not have access to the depot for the purpose of inspecting the container.

If you are looking for a spacious, reliable, and universal storage or transport medium, the 12m (40 ft) High Cube shipping container in decommissioned but fully operational condition with a valid CSC plate is an excellent choice. Thanks to its storage at the Poznań depot, it is also easily accessible for carriers from all over Central Europe. Don’t forget to arrange your own transport and check the availability of your preferred color in advance – we’ll take care of everything else.
