SPECIAL CONTAINERS

Several different types of containers can be included in the category of special containers. These are designed and modified for specific purposes or special transport and storage needs. They also include containers such as reefer containers, flat rack containers, containers with an opening roof and any other deviations from the classic storage container.

Since all of these containers have their specific classification, in this section we want to focus on specific and little-known shipping containers that are produced piece by piece, according to customer specifications.

There are also containers for transporting hazardous materials. These containers are made with the transport of dangerous substances in mind, such as chemicals, toxic substances or highly flammable materials. They are equipped with special safety measures such as lockable valves, double walls and durable finishes.

Another specific feature is ventilated containers for transporting live animals. This type of container is specially designed for the safe and comfortable transport of live animals such as cattle, pigs or poultry. The container is equipped with a special ventilation system, which ensures the supply of fresh air and the removal of waste products.

Special containers in our offer:

It can be isolated containers. These are designed as standard to have isolated walls, ceiling and floor, which allows to maintain a stable temperature inside the container. This is useful for transporting goods that require thermal isolation, such as food, beverages or pharmaceutical products.

Curtain side container is another type of special container that is equipped with side sails instead of solid walls. These tarpaulins are made of durable material and allow easy and quick handling of goods during loading and unloading. They are used to transport many types of goods, including packaged goods, construction materials, palletized goods and other irregularly shaped objects. They are ideal for goods that require easy access from the side. Or goods that are difficult to place in a regular container with solid walls.

Drip tray container, also known as a collection container, is a special type of container that is designed to capture and collect hazardous substances that leak from various sources. This type of container is often used in industrial or manufacturing environments where liquid spills are likely to occur.

And last but not least, the bulk container. A bulk container is a special type of container designed for the transport of loose, non-standard and dispersed goods. Such as raw materials, grains, powders, liquids, bulk materials or granules. Bulk containers are designed to ensure efficient and safe transportation of these materials. They have special openings on the ceiling of the container as well as a front outlet.

Currently, the most popular type of shipping container modification is the shipping container garage. It can be made from one piece of container, from two or, as in the photo below, from 4 pieces of shipping containers of size 40’HC with total internal dimensions of 113m2.

What special containers can be produced?

It can be single shipping containers from which electrical containers, aggregate containers, tanks and water purifiers, substations, control desks, containers for measuring devices and other less or more demanding modifications can be made.

In some cases, the basis for such a special container is a classic storage container (if minor modifications are involved). Or it can be containers manufactured entirely from scratch according to specifications. This always depends on the specific assignment, construction requirements, static and load requirements.

Special modifications to the container

Examples of retrofitting special containers, also often referred to as “container including modifications”. They can include the following additional modifications and are produced according to the specific specifications of the customer:

Container construction

• cassette cladding instead of profiled sheet metal
• insulation of the floor, walls and ceiling with mineral wool, stainless steel sheet, plywood, chipboard or Fermacel boards
• hanging eyes, which are used in the interior of the container as points for attaching equipment during transport

Container floor

• the floor can be non-standard also made of sheet steel, aluminum sheet or wood made of impregnated foshan or water-resistant plywood
• to place heavy equipment such as aggregates, boilers, etc., the floor is reinforced or various fastening means are installed for the placement of machines. These are, for example, steel plates with or without drilled holes, rail profiles for sliding and fixing the unit, etc.
• double antistatic floor with PVC covering
• frames made of profiles for placing distribution boxes with holes for passing cables
• a floor like a tub that can be welded watertight with a fold in height that serves to catch water, oil and other substances that may leak out
• galvanized grates placed on the floor with free space below them, where a walking floor above the bathtub, etc. will be created.

Doors, windows and other equipment

Container doors

• the container can be equipped with various doors, it can be equipped with handles and locks
• double-leaf doors, which can be equipped with a handle and lock instead of bars
• the gate can be moved to another location
• four-leaf doors located in a long wall, e.g. for better access to the unit
• removable wall screwed on with hanging loops, e.g. for one-time sliding of larger equipment

Windows and openings

• special containers can be fitted with fixed, hinged, sliding or retractable windows with standard glazing, safety glass, etc.
• fixed ventilation louvres can be installed to prevent rainwater from entering the container, with fixed slats made of galvanized sheet metal
• movable ventilation blinds controlled by a servomotor or manually
• lined holes for stretching tubular, el. management etc.

Surface treatment

• additional spraying, especially suitable for aggregate containers, which serves as effective sound isolation

Other equipment

• electrical installation (CEE connection, circuit breaker box with circuit breaker, fluorescent lamps, sockets, switches) up to various specifications according to the standards of specific countries, such as the USA, Great Britain, etc.
• fans to increase ventilation efficiency
• galvanized rails in various widths for fixing equipment/pipes/etc., from the inside or outside
• anti-noise backdrops to reduce the noise of air flow and others
