However, the use of shipping containers goes beyond their original purpose. They are increasingly finding applications in other areas such as construction, architecture or even housing. Locking screw for shipping containers – the key to stability and safety

One of the invaluable aids when handling containers is the securing screw for shipping containers. This unobtrusive but extremely important element is designed to ensure the stability and safety of containers in a horizontal position. Whether you are transporting or storing containers, securing screws minimise the risk of movement and ensure your cargo stays in place.

What is a securing screw and how does it work?

A securing bolt is a metal fastener, made of galvanized iron, used to secure two adjacent containers side by side. Thanks to its clever design, which includes one left and one right-hand thread, it can be easily fastened to create a stable connection. The bolt span (146-268 mm) ensures versatility when used with different types of containers.

However, it is important to stress that securing screws are not designed to secure containers stacked on top of each other. Their primary function is horizontal fixing, which is essential for example in truck and train transport or storage in logistics centres.

Advantages of using securing screws

The use of securing screws brings a number of advantages that can be appreciated by companies and individuals involved in the transport or storage of goods:

  • Increased security
Thanks to the firm fixing, you prevent unwanted movement of containers, minimising the risk of damage to the goods and the container itself.
  • Easy handling
The securing screws are simple to install and remove, saving time and making it easier to handle the containers.
  • Durability and reliability
The galvanised surface of the screws ensures their long life and resistance to corrosion, even in harsh weather conditions.
  • Versatile use
Thanks to the adjustable length (146-268 mm), the securing screws can be used on most standard shipping containers.

Who do the securing screws suit?

Locking screws are the ideal solution for anyone who needs to ensure the stability and safety of containers during transport or storage. They are particularly suitable for:

  • Logistics companies –for securing containers during transport by road, rail or ship.
  • Warehousing companies –to create a stable arrangement of containers in logistics centres.
  • Construction companies –when using containers as construction cells or temporary storage.
  • Private warehouse owners –for the safe storage of personal or business belongings.

Recommendations for use

When working with securing screws, it is important to follow a few guidelines:

  • Proper installation-make sure to properly fasten the bolts into the appropriate holes on the container.
  • Regular inspection-when storing for long periods of time, check the strength of the connection and the condition of the bolts regularly.
  • Horizontal use only –never use securing screws to secure stacked containers.

Ideas for further use

In addition to their primary purpose, securing screws can find applications in other areas. For example, in the construction of container houses, they can be used to temporarily connect the individual modules until they are firmly fixed. In warehouses, they can help to organise containers into stable rows, increasing the efficiency of space utilisation.

Why invest in securing screws?

Investing in securing screws for shipping containers is worthwhile for anyone who places a premium on safety, stability and efficiency. This simple but effective tool can significantly increase the reliability of your logistics and warehousing operations.

Whether you are a professional logistics company, a construction company or an individual, securing screws are an essential part of your equipment. Secure your containers safely and reliably – with securing screws for shipping containers, you can be sure that your cargo will always stay in place.
