Are you looking for a reliable, spacious, and well-ventilated storage or shipping container that adapts to the specific needs of chocolate production? We present a shipping container 40 feet (12.2 m) long in the High Cube version, in IICL 6 quality, with an elegant light shade of RAL 1015, opening by 4 rods, and with twelve ventilation openings. The container is stored in our depot in Prague and is ready for immediate pickup – on its own, transport is not included in the price.

Dimensions and Parameters of 40′ High Cube

The 40′ High Cube container offers greater internal height compared to the classic 40-foot container, which you will appreciate when handling bulkier material or when planning an extension. The external length is 12,192 mm, width 2,438 mm, and height 2,896 mm. The internal space provides a length of 12,032 mm, width 2,352 mm, and height 2,698 mm, which corresponds to an internal volume of approximately 76.4 m³. The maximum gross weight of the container is 30,480 kg, while the tare weight is around 3,900 kg, so the useful payload reaches approximately 26,580 kg. The container comfortably accommodates 25–30 Euro pallets, which means enormous capacity for both raw materials and finished products. The dimensions are indicative and may always vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.

IICL 6 Quality and RAL 1015 Color

The container is classified in quality grade IICL 6 according to the standards of the Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL). This classification designates a fully operational container, in like-new condition after only one sea voyage, suitable for both maritime and land transport as well as for long-term storage. The container is structurally flawless, undamaged, watertight, and safe for cargo transport.

The color RAL 1015, known as light ivory, is a warm, creamy white shade with a subtle tint. This shade looks clean and elegant, while also reflecting sunlight better, so the interior heats up less – which is very important for storing temperature-sensitive chocolate products. The light surface also provides an excellent base for any additional decals or branding.

Opening with 4 Rods and 12 Anti-Condensation Vents

The container doors are secured by four vertical locking rods that ensure a tight closure and protection against unauthorized entry. This system is common on maritime containers and allows for quick and safe handling during loading and unloading.

Twelve anti-condensation vents (Air Vents) are strategically placed to ensure constant air circulation inside the container. Airflow helps prevent moisture condensation, mold growth, and maintains a more stable microclimate – this is key especially when storing cocoa beans, sugar, nuts, or finished chocolate products that are sensitive to moisture and temperature changes.

Use for Chocolate Manufacturers

Thanks to its construction, ventilation, and light color, this container is exceptionally suitable for a wide range of activities related to chocolate production and sales.

Who is the Container Suitable For

It will appeal to small and medium-sized chocolate manufacturers, artisanal praline producers, chocolate raw material distributors, startups with mobile production, organizers of gastronomic events, as well as established factories that need a rapid expansion of storage or operational capacities.

Possible Uses

The container will serve as a storage facility for raw materials and finished products, a shipping unit for moving material between operations, a base for a mobile shop, or as a building element for creating a chocolate workshop, tasting room, or pop-up store.

Storage in a 40’HC Container

Thanks to the ventilation and the light color, which reduces the thermal load, you can safely store cocoa beans, cocoa butter, nuts, dried fruit, sugar, packaging materials, and finished products in the container. When placed in a shaded area or under a shelter, you will maintain a more stable temperature inside, and if necessary, the container can easily be supplemented with insulation or additional cooling.

What Can Be Stored in the Container

Typically, this will include bags of cocoa beans, barrels of cocoa butter, cartons with chocolate bars, boxes with pralines, molds, tools, and packaging. The anti-condensation vents also drain away moisture that could damage the packaging or the chocolate itself.

How Much Fits in a 40-foot High Cube

Into the volume of 76.4 m³, you can load approximately 25 Euro pallets of 1 ton of cocoa beans each – i.e., up to 25 tons of raw material. In the case of finished products, such as cartons with chocolate bars, the capacity is in the range of hundreds of cartons, which is enough to supply a brick-and-mortar store for several weeks or for an entire seasonal campaign.

Transport Options for Chocolate Manufacturers

The container can be transported by truck, by rail, or by ship. For chocolate manufacturers, it is ideal for collecting raw materials from the port to the factory, transporting semi-finished products between operations, or distributing finished orders to customers. The four-rod door closure ensures that the cargo remains safe during the journey.

What to Transport for Chocolate Manufacturers

You can transport practically anything from raw materials (beans, butter, sugar) through packaging to finished products. Special attention deserves products sensitive to shocks – the container is sturdy and fixing elements can be installed in it.

Conversion Options

A used container in IICL 6 quality is an excellent base for conversion. You can insulate it, equip it with electricity, lighting, air conditioning, sanitary facilities, and turn it into a fully operational facility.

What All the Container Can Be Converted Into

The container can become a mobile chocolate manufactory, a tasting showroom, a market stall, a workshop facility, a small laboratory for developing new recipes, or even a mini café with seating. Creativity knows no limits.

Benefits for Chocolate Manufacturers

  • Large internal volume and payload
  • Anti-condensation vents – 12 ventilation openings to prevent moisture and mold
  • Light color RAL 1015 reduces overheating
  • Sturdy opening with 4 rods for security
  • IICL 6 quality guarantees structural reliability
  • Easy conversion and possibility of further insulation
  • Mobility – the container can be transported and placed practically anywhere

Other Uses for Chocolate Manufacturers

The container can be used as a temporary storage facility during factory reconstruction, as a seasonal warehouse for Christmas or Easter campaigns, or as an exhibition display at trade fairs. It is also suitable for storing supplies of packaging material and promotional items.

Mobility

Thanks to the standard dimensions and corner fittings, the container is easily handled by standard equipment. You can transport it on a flatbed, unload it with a hydraulic arm or crane, and place it on any hardened surface. You will appreciate this if you are planning a mobile chocolate shop that will travel around markets and festivals.

Recommendations and Ideas

  • Use the 12 ventilation openings to install exhaust fans that will remove odors and heat from production.
  • Support the light RAL 1015 with a white roof paint for maximum reflection of sunlight.
  • If you need to store finished chocolate, supplement the container with a cooling unit and insulation – it will become a mobile refrigerated warehouse.
  • Create a pop-up store from the container with open doors and stylish lighting that will attract customers at Christmas markets.
  • Combine multiple containers into a modular unit – production space, storage, and shop side by side.
