Dimensions and key features of the 6 m container

The standard dimensions of the 20ft container ensure its wide compatibility with logistics systems worldwide. The external dimensions are approximately 6.06 m in length, 2.44 m in width and 2.59 m in height. The internal volume is approximately 33 m³, which provides ample space for transporting or storing various goods. The load capacity of the container is more than 28 tonnes, making it a reliable choice even for heavy loads. Dimensions are approximate and may always vary slightly according to the manufacturer.

The steel floor is designed to handle extreme loads and provide maximum stability. Eight ventilation grilles ensure proper air circulation and minimise the risk of moisture build-up, which is essential when transporting sensitive materials. The container meets the strict IICL 6 (International Institute of Container Lessors) standards, guaranteeing its exceptional quality and durability.

Container use with 8x ventilation grille and steel floor

Containers with 8x ventilation grid and steel floor are a unique solution for the transport of goods that require specific conditions. The combination of these two key elements makes them ideal for transporting heavy electronics that require a dry environment and a solid base. What are the main advantages of this type of container, what can be transported, and what are the tips for its optimal use?

Why choose a container with 8x ventilation grille and steel floor

This type of container is designed to meet the demanding safety and security requirements of the goods being transported. The ventilation grilles are strategically placed on the sides of the container and allow efficient air circulation. This minimises the risk of moisture build-up inside that could damage sensitive electronics. The steel floor, on the other hand, ensures high load capacity and durability, which is especially crucial when transporting heavy or bulky equipment.

Transportation of heavy electronics and its specifics

Electronics are sensitive to transport not only in terms of humidity but also in terms of physical load. For example, servers, industrial machinery, battery modules or switch cabinets require not only solid support but also a stable microclimate. A container with an 8x ventilation grid helps maintain a stable temperature and wicks away excess moisture, protecting sensitive components from corrosion or short circuiting.

What all can be transported?

Containers with steel floors and ventilation grilles are not limited to electronics. They are also suitable for other types of goods that require a dry environment and a solid bottom. Other options include:

  • Industrial machinery and tools-heavy and bulky equipment that needs stable support.
  • Autonomous technology-for example, robotic systems or large battery packs.
  • Wood and metal structures-materials that must not come into contact with moisture.
  • Agricultural equipment-from small machines to spare parts.

Different types of transport

One of the advantages of a 20ft container with a steel floor is its versatility. It can be used for sea transport as well as for road or rail transport. Thanks to its standardised dimensions, it fits easily into the global logistics chain. In addition, when transporting heavy electronics, the container can be equipped with additional fixing elements to ensure the stability of the goods even on longer routes or in difficult conditions.

How many electronics can fit in a 20ft container?

A standard 20-foot container has an internal volume of approximately 33 cubic metres and a load capacity of up to 28 tonnes. For heavy electronics, such as server cabinets, 15-20 pieces can usually be safely placed in one container, depending on their size and weight. Thanks to the steel floor, the weight can be evenly distributed, minimising the risk of damage during transport.

Recommendations for efficient use

  • Preparing goods for transport
Before loading, ensure that all electronic components are properly packed and protected against shocks. The use of protective films, padding and fixing frames is crucial.
  • Proper placement inside the container
Heavier equipment should be placed in the middle or as close to the floor as possible. This will improve stability during transport.
  • Use of ventilation grilles
Ensure that access to the ventilation grilles is not blocked by the load. This will ensure efficient airflow.
  • Regular inspection during transport
For long journeys, we recommend checking the condition of the load regularly, if conditions allow.

Ideas for further use

If you are not planning to transport heavy electronics, this type of container can also be used in other ways. Its durability and ventilation make it ideal as a storage space for spare parts, building materials or even as a mobile workshop. Its solid construction also allows it to be converted into office space or technical facilities on construction sites.

The containers with 8x ventilation grille and steel floor are the perfect combination of durability, capacity and moisture protection. They are ideal for transporting heavy electronics and other heavy loads. Their versatility and robust construction make them an indispensable part of modern logistics. Whether you use them for transport, storage or other purposes, they always provide maximum reliability and safety.
