What categories of condition of decommissioned containers do we distinguish?

In the field of shipping container sales, standardized quality categories are used. Here are the main ones:

IICL – containers meeting the standards of the Institute of International Container Lessors. This is the highest quality category, suitable for further marine transport.
Cargo Worthy (CW) – the container is suitable for cargo transport. It is sealed, the doors work, the floor is intact. It is an excellent choice for storage purposes.
Wind and Water Tight (WWT) – the container is sealed against wind and water, but it does not have to meet stricter standards for marine transport. It is fully sufficient for regular storage.
AS IS – the container is sold in its current condition. It may have visible damage, rust, leaks. The price is the lowest, but repairs must be expected.

For a 10 ft and 20 ft container – a flatbed truck or a truck with a hydraulic arm (HIAB) is sufficient. Load capacity of at least 3–5 tons.
For a 40 ft container – you need a semi-trailer with a container chassis or a special container carrier. The weight of an empty 40 ft container is approx. 3,800–4,200 kg.
Loading – the depot is equipped with reachstackers and bridge cranes with a load capacity of 12–65 tons. The depot staff will load the container onto your vehicle.
