Basic features and dimensions of a 20ft container

Standard 20ft (6 meters long) container is one of the most used types of transport and storage containers. Thanks to its universal dimensions and robust construction, it is popular across industries and among individuals.

  • External dimensions: length 6.06 m, width 2.44 m, height 2.59 m
  • Internal dimensions: length 5.90 m, width 2.35 m, height 2.39 m
  • Volume: approximately 33.1 m³
  • Load capacity: up to 28,000 kg

Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.

These containers are made of durable steel, which ensures their long life even in harsh conditions. Their solid construction is ideal for storing heavy and bulky materials, from industrial equipment to building materials.

Quality “AS IS 10” – what does it mean?

Our containers are marked with the quality “AS IS 10”, which means that they are decommissioned containers, which no longer meet the standards for shipping goods by sea, but are still fully functional for other purposes. These containers may bear signs of normal wear and tear, such as minor dents, scratches or surface corrosion, but their structural integrity remains intact.

It is important to emphasize that each container is sold within this quality category, which means that individual pieces may differ in color or minor details. The photos on the website are illustrative – the resulting container will correspond to the specification, but may have a different color scheme.

Collection at the Auckland depot

Container is currently stored in a depot in Auckland, New Zealand. Please note that transport is not included in the price and collection must be arranged separately. Ideally, have the container picked up by your carrier. After the deal is closed, you will receive all the information needed to collect the container from the terminal. Provide this information to the transport company you choose. We recommend using a local carrier who has experience handling containers. The carrier will pick up your container from the depot and deliver it to your designated location. At the destination, it is necessary to ensure the unloading of the container.

You will usually receive a different piece than the one in the picture, as we have several containers in the depot and their colors and availability change daily, but always in the same category of quality, type and size. For safety reasons, customers are not allowed to enter the depot and physically inspect the container in advance.

Don’t wait until the containers are sold out. Contact your carrier today and secure your piece. We are here to provide you with all the information you need for a smooth collection. With a decommissioned 20ft container AS IS 10, you get a practical and reliable helper for your storage or construction needs.
