Basic specifications of a 6-meter container
20-foot containers (6 meters) are among the most popular variants due to their compact dimensions and universal use. The standard dimensions of these containers are approximately 6.06 m in length, 2.44 m in width and 2.59 m in height. The internal volume is approximately 33 m³ and the load capacity can reach up to 28 tons. These properties are ideal for storing larger quantities of material, whether it is products, tools or equipment. Dimensions are indicative and may always vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.
Decommissioned AS IS 2 containers may show minor signs of wear and tear, but still retain their functionality and strength. They are resistant to weathering, which means you don’t have to worry about moisture, rain or extreme temperatures.
Benefits of storage in a 20-foot container
Storage in a shipping container offers a number of advantages. Thanks to its construction, it provides a safe environment that protects the contents from damage, adverse weather and theft. Decommissioned containers are also more affordable than new ones, making them an economical choice for businesses and individuals alike.
Use of a decommissioned container for storage in malt houses
Decommissioned shipping containers, known as “AS IS”, have a wide range of uses even after they cease to serve their original purpose in shipping. One of their practical uses is storage for malt houses. Thanks to their robust construction, resistance to weathering and variability in dimensions, they are an ideal solution that can meet the diverse requirements of malt houses.
Benefits of container storage for malt houses
Storage containers offer a number of advantages to malt houses. Their construction of solid steel protects stored items from both external influences and unauthorized access. They are resistant to
moisture, temperature fluctuations and pests, which is crucial when storing not only products, but also sensitive tools and equipment.
Another advantage is their mobility – containers can be easily moved to another location according to the current needs of the malt house.
What can be stored in a container
A decommissioned container can be used for various storage purposes in malt houses:
- Malt house products: Malt, barley, hops or other raw materials can be safely stored in the container without being exposed to moisture or pests.
- Tools and equipment: Containers are ideal for storing technical equipment, such as tools used for maintenance or small equipment.
- Maintenance supplies: Chemicals, cleaning agents and other means for maintaining the malt house area can be properly stored in the container and separated from other items.
Capacity of a 20-foot container
A 20-foot container offers enough space for storing various items. Its internal capacity is approximately 33 cubic meters, which allows you to store, for example, several tons of malt, tools or other equipment. For a better idea – such a container can hold up to 10 standard pallets of goods.
Storage for malt houses with regard to efficiency
Malt houses often favor decommissioned containers precisely because of their simple implementation into operation. The container can be placed directly in the malt house area, which saves time and transport costs of stored items. In addition, their modular nature allows you to add more containers as the need for storage space grows.
