Gray Shipping Container 25G1 After One Trip – Ideal Mobile Storage Not Just for Archaeologists
This shipping container type 25G1 is after one sea voyage, which means it is practically new and in perfect technical condition. Its surface finish in gray color RAL 7035 ensures a modern and neutral appearance suitable for any environment, whether it’s a construction site, archaeological site, or logistics center.
The main advantages of this container include robust construction designed for long-term use and protection of stored material. The container is equipped with four lever-operated door locks in maritime standard, which guarantees quick and safe opening and closing. For easy handling, it is equipped with “tunnels” for forklifts (forklift pockets), which enables quick and safe movement of the container even in challenging terrain.
Additionally, the container has two ventilation openings on each long side wall, for a total of four, which ensure adequate ventilation and protect the contents from moisture and condensation. The floor is made of dark, highly durable maritime plywood that withstands high loads and frequent handling of heavy objects.
Why Is This Equipment Ideal for Mobile Archaeological Storage?
Archaeological research requires not only quality facilities for fieldwork but, above all, a safe and dry environment for storing finds, tools, and documentation. The 25G1 shipping container with the described equipment meets all these requirements:
- Safety and Protection: Strong construction, secure locking, and durable flooring protect valuable archaeological finds and sensitive equipment from damage, theft, or weather influences.
- Ventilation: Ventilation openings prevent mold and moisture formation, which is crucial for preserving archaeological finds.
- Mobility: Thanks to the tunnels for forklifts, the container can be easily moved between sites according to current research needs.
- Flexibility: Standard dimensions allow for easy placement of the container in confined or hard-to-reach spaces.
Who Will Benefit from This Equipment?
A container with such specific equipment will be appreciated primarily by archaeological teams and research organizations that need mobile facilities for short-term and long-term field projects. It is also suitable for museums and heritage institutions that need to safely store finds before their transport or processing. However, it will also find use among construction companies, geologists, or university expeditions.
Using the Container as Mobile Archaeological Storage
A mobile storage facility based on a shipping container allows archaeologists to efficiently and safely preserve:
- Ceramics, bones, metal objects, and other finds
- Archaeological tools and equipment
- Documentation, plans, maps, and digital recording technology
- Protective equipment and work clothing
- Tools for conservation and cleaning of finds
Thanks to the durable floor, heavier finds or boxes of material can be stored without concern. Ventilation openings also protect, for example, wooden or textile artifacts from moisture damage.
How Much Fits in a 20-Foot Container?
A standard 20-foot container holds approximately 33 m³ of material. In practice, this means that an archaeological expedition can store hundreds of boxes, shelving systems, or even larger fragments of building structures. The container can also be equipped with shelves, hooks, or other organizational elements precisely according to the team’s needs.
Further Uses in Archaeology and Inspiration
In addition to storing finds, a shipping container can also be used for:
- Setting up a mobile laboratory for basic sample analysis
- Temporary repositories for sorting and describing finds
- Portable conference room or facilities for workers
- Protection of instruments and measuring equipment from weather influences
- Safe storage of chemicals and conservation materials
A modern 25G1 shipping container in gray color RAL 7035 is a reliable partner for anyone seeking a flexible, safe, and representative mobile storage solution at an archaeological site. Your finds, equipment, and documentation will always be secure and ready for further use.
