Corner lock for shipping containers
Czech Republic The shipping container corner lock is a special locking device designed to secure the cargo in the shipping container during transportation. This lock is located on one of the corners of the container and serves to ensure the safety of the transported material against unauthorized access or theft.
WHAT IS THE USE OF A CORNER LOCK ON A SHIPPING CONTAINER?
– used to fasten containers to the ground for safety and insurance reasons
– 8.5mm holes surrounding the central 35mm hole
How to install a corner lock on a container:
1. insert the corner lock at a right angle into the corner cast
2. turn and lock in place
3. Secure the lock to the ground accordingly
Important warning! The corner lock can only be attached to the container if the container is raised. The corner lock cannot be attached to the container when the container is already in place.
A typical shipping container corner lock is made of durable steel alloy material to be able to withstand external influences and manipulations. It is designed to be easily and firmly attached to the structure of the container and to have sufficient strength and resistance against unwanted handling.
Fitting a corner lock to a shipping container is an important step in protecting cargo from the risks of loss, damage or tampering during transit. When used and installed correctly, the corner lock is an effective security measure to protect cargo in a shipping container.
