  • Length: 6.06 m
  • Width: 2.44 m
  • Height: 2.59 m
  • Volume: approx. 33 m³
  • Load capacity: up to 28,000 kg

Dimensions are approximate and may always vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.

AS IS 10 Quality

These containers are in AS IS quality – i.e. suitable for immediate use as a warehouse or workshop, but no longer suitable for major structural modifications or conversions into living spaces. Their main advantage is the massive steel structure, which ensures high resistance and safety of stored items.

Who is a decommissioned container suitable for?

A decommissioned shipping container will be especially appreciated by:

  • Owners of family houses and gardens who do not have enough attic or basement space
  • Handymen and craftsmen who need a safe and lockable workshop
  • Small businesses and tradesmen for storing material, tools or seasonal goods
  • Farmers for storing feed, tools or smaller equipment
  • Cottagers and holidaymakers for storing equipment out of season

Possibilities of use and storage

Thanks to its dimensions and load capacity, a 20-foot container offers a wide range of uses:

  • Workshop in the garden: Create your own work facilities. A workbench, shelves with tools, large machines can comfortably fit into the container, and there will still be enough space to work.
  • Tool and material storage: Ideal for storing lawnmowers, wheelbarrows, building materials, tools, garden furniture, sports equipment or seasonal decorations.
  • Alternative to attic space: If your house does not have an attic or basement, the container will provide a safe and dry place for everything you need to store.

A 20-foot container can fit, for example:

  • 2–3 bicycles, several shelves with tools, a large lawnmower, building material (bricks, bags of cement), several pieces of garden furniture, and there is still room to move around.
  • It can also be used for storing wood, tires, pallets, work equipment or hobby equipment.

Why build a workshop or warehouse from a decommissioned container?

  • Safety: The steel structure protects against theft and weather conditions.
  • Mobility: If necessary, you can move the container to another location.
  • Speed of implementation: Just prepare an area in the garden and the container is ready for immediate use.
  • No structural modifications: No complicated building permits are required, often only a notification to the building authority is sufficient.
  • Variability: You can adapt it to your current needs at any time – add shelves, lighting, ventilation, etc.

Where does a workshop or warehouse made of a container fit?

  • In the garden of a family house
  • On the land of a cottage or holiday home
  • To a company hall or workshop
  • On a construction site
  • On a farm or field

Advantages over a classic warehouse or attic space

  • Resistance – the container is designed for transport across the ocean, so it is very resistant to weather conditions.
  • Maintenance-free – does not need regular repairs like wooden sheds.
  • Flexibility – the possibility to change the purpose or place of use at any time.
  • Speed of acquisition – you don’t have to build a new building, the container is ready for immediate use.

Recommendations and ideas for use

  • Create a shelving system and maximize the storage capacity of the container.
  • Light the interior with LED lights on batteries or solar panels.
  • Ventilation grilles ensure air circulation and prevent moisture from forming.
  • Equip the entrance door with an additional lock for greater security.
  • In summer, it can also be used as a base for garden equipment, in winter for storing tires and seasonal equipment.
