Even if it is no longer suitable for large construction conversions or structural interventions, its robustness, durability and mobility remain great advantages. This is why it is an ideal choice for temporary and long-term storage on construction sites and in the garden.

Possibilities of using the container for storing cleaning products

A decommissioned container is versatile and can be used in a variety of locations:

  • On construction sites: As a safe place for cleaning equipment, cleaning products, brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners or special chemicals needed to clean and maintain construction areas.
  • In the garden: For storing garden cleaners, brooms, leaf blowers, hoses, chemical agents for cleaning terraces, paving or swimming pools.
  • In companies and businesses: As a base for cleaning companies or facility management with the possibility of separating cleaning chemicals from other equipment.

Who is this type of warehouse ideal for?

A warehouse made from a decommissioned container will be appreciated by:

  • Construction companies and tradesmen
  • Administrators and maintenance workers of premises (schools, sports facilities, industrial buildings)
  • Gardeners, owners of larger plots of land and recreational facilities
  • Cleaning companies and facility management
  • Homeowner associations and housing cooperatives

Where to place a cleaning product storage container

A decommissioned container is suitable for any location where a secure, lockable and dry place is needed:

  • On the open area of the construction site
  • To the back of the garden
  • To the car park or to the technical facilities of the building
  • To service entrances or behind the building where it will not be in the way

Advantages of container storage

  • Safety and security: Lockable, resistant to burglary and weather conditions.
  • Mobility: If necessary, the container can be easily moved to another location.
  • Quick start-up: No need to build solid foundations, the container only needs to be placed on a paved surface.
  • Space organisation: The interior space can be divided with shelves, racks or hooks for clear storage.
  • Durability and long service life: The steel construction will last for years without the need for major maintenance.

The container can hold a wide range of cleaning products and supplies:

  • Buckets, mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners
  • Washing and cleaning products (liquid and powder)
  • Industrial cleaners, degreasers, disinfectants
  • Protective work equipment (gloves, respirators, aprons)
  • Machinery – high-pressure cleaners, floor cleaning machines, vacuum cleaners for water and dust
  • Garden cleaners, sprayers, hoses

How much fits in a 20-foot container?

A standard 20-foot container offers an internal volume of around 33 m³ and a usable area of over 14 m². This means you can comfortably fit:

  • Shelves for dozens of buckets and cleaning products
  • Vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners and floor cleaning machines

  • Add vents for better air circulation, especially if you are storing chemicals.
  • Label shelves and sections for quick orientation and safety.
