Shipping container as an ideal storage solution at motocross tracks
Shipping containers are not only the basis for international cargo transport, but are increasingly being used on land as well. One of the most popular ways of using them is for storage – even in places where you might not expect it, such as motocross tracks. Motocross is a sport that requires not only perfect technique and skills, but also quality facilities for storing equipment. In this article, we look at how a shipping container can bring benefits specifically to motocross lovers.
Advantages of storage in a shipping container at motocross tracks
Shipping containers are synonymous with durability, security and flexibility. Made of solid steel, they withstand adverse weather conditions, which is ideal for the environment of motocross tracks where the weather is often unpredictable. The container safely protects stored equipment from rain, dust, wind and sun.
Another advantage is mobility. If the track is moved or relocated, you can simply load the container onto a truck and transport it to a new site. This way you do not have to invest in permanent buildings, which is an economically advantageous solution.
Security is another important factor. Shipping containers are designed to be resistant to forced entry and can be additionally secured with padlocks or special security features. This is especially appreciated by owners of expensive equipment such as motocross bikes, spare parts or tools.
What can you store in the container?
The storage possibilities in a shipping container are almost unlimited. The space inside a 20-foot container, which is 6.06 m long, 2.44 m wide and 2.59 m high, allows safe storage of various equipment. So what can you store here?
- Motocross bikes: A single 20-foot container can hold up to 4–5 bikes (depending on their size and the method of storage).
- Spare parts and tyres: Plenty of space for shelving where you can clearly store spare parts, tyres or lubricants.
- Tools: Containers are ideal for storing both large and small tools.
- Protective gear and clothing: Helmets, protectors, gloves or suits can be stored so that they are always at hand.
- Fuel and lubricants: Sealed containers with fuel or oils can be safely stored separately from other equipment.
Who is this type of storage ideal for?
Shipping containers at motocross tracks are appreciated by individuals as well as race organizers or operators of training tracks. If you are an enthusiast who regularly goes to the track to train, you can store your equipment there and save time and costs associated with constant transporting. For event organizers, the container is an invaluable helper for storing equipment needed for track maintenance, racer facilities or refreshments.
Where can a shipping container be placed?
Shipping containers can be used on various types of motocross tracks – from professional race circuits to amateur training areas. Thanks to their robust construction, you can place them practically anywhere – in a meadow, in a forest or on the outskirts of a town. All you need is a flat surface on which the container will stand stably.
In addition to being used as storage, containers on tracks can also be used in other ways. For example, as an office for race organizers, a technical zone for bike repairs or even as a small shelter for racers in bad weather.
Further possibilities for using containers in motocross
Motocross tracks are places where something is always happening, and shipping containers can be adapted to different needs:
- Mobile workshop: Equip the container with basic tools and create your own repair zone.
- Refreshment station: With minor modifications, the container can serve as a food and drink stall for racers and spectators.
- Grandstand or viewing tower: Modify the container so that spectators can watch the races from a height.
- Storage space for track equipment: In addition to personal or racing equipment, the container can also be used to store materials needed for track maintenance, such as signs, tapes or tools for surface maintenance.
Shipping containers are an invaluable helper not only in the transport of goods, but also as practical storage spaces at motocross tracks. Their versatility, durability and safety make them an ideal choice for anyone looking for an efficient and cost-effective storage solution.
