Shipping container as a solution for manufacturers of plasterboard components
Shipping containers represent a modern, flexible and safe solution for manufacturers of plasterboard components. Thanks to their robust construction and standardized dimensions (most often a 20-foot/6m container), they are an ideal choice for storage, transport and customization to the specific needs of manufacturers. The use of containers in this field includes not only the storage of finished products and semi-finished products, but also the safe storage of materials and tools.
Storage options and what can be stored
A shipping container offers a dry, ventilated and lockable space that protects the contents from moisture, dust and external influences. In the production process of plasterboard components, for example, plasterboard panels, profiles, fasteners, sealants, insulation materials, tools or small parts can be stored in the container. Thanks to its load capacity and spatial variability, it is possible to safely store up to several tons of material in one 20-foot container, while the dimensions (approx. 6 m length, 2.4 m width and 2.6 m height) allow efficient use of space even for larger components.
How much fits into a 20-foot container
A standard 20-foot container provides an internal volume of approximately 33 m³. This space can comfortably accommodate pallets with packaged plasterboard panels, several hundred meters of profiles, dozens of bags of gypsum mixture, or a complete set of tools needed for assembly. Thanks to the high load capacity (usually around 28 tons), it is possible to maximize the use of space without fear of overloading.
Transport options and what to transport
Containers are designed for easy handling and transport by road, rail and ship. For manufacturers of plasterboard components, this means the possibility of quickly moving material between production plants, warehouses or directly to construction sites. Not only finished products, but also raw materials and semi-finished products can be transported in the container. Its robust construction will secure the contents even during longer transports.
Custom container conversions
The shipping container can be easily modified according to the specific needs of the manufacturer. Common modifications include the installation of shelves, racking systems, electrical lighting, ventilation, security locks or even air conditioning. The container can also be used to create a mobile workshop, expedition point, facilities for workers or a showroom for the presentation of plasterboard components.
Who benefits from the container
The container is an ideal choice for small and large manufacturers, distributors or assembly companies that need a flexible and safe storage or transport means for their products. It will be appreciated by companies with limited space in production halls, companies operating in multiple regions, or construction companies carrying out contracts in the field.
Conversions and other uses in the field
In the field of plasterboard components, the container can be converted into:
- Mobile warehouse of raw materials and finished parts
- Workshop container for the production of smaller components directly on the construction site
- Facilities for assembly teams (changing room, office)
- Presentation space for samples and new products
- Sales stand at trade fairs and exhibitions
Advantages of the container for manufacturers of plasterboard components
- Protection of material from moisture, dust and thieves
- Possibility of placement directly at the production line, warehouse or on the construction site
- Quick transfers thanks to standardized dimensions
- Variability of use and easy conversions
- Long service life and minimal maintenance
- Possibility of stacking and efficient use of space
Mobility and flexibility
The container can be easily moved to another location according to the current needs of production or logistics. Thanks to this, the manufacturer quickly reacts to changes in orders or moves storage capacities to where they are needed.
Recommendations and inspiration
For maximum efficiency, we recommend equipping the container with shelves and ventilation, or electrification. It is also useful to label stored materials and regularly check the condition of supplies. Manufacturers of plasterboard components can use containers not only for storage, but also as mobile workshops or showrooms, which increases their competitiveness and flexibility.
A shipping container offers manufacturers of plasterboard components a wide range of uses. It is a safe, versatile and economical solution that brings companies higher efficiency, order and protection of material. Bet on a proven method of storage and transport and support the growth of your business with the help of a quality container.
