PARTITION WALL FOR CREATING SEPARATE STORAGE UNITS
This usage is very suitable for 2 or more separately divided storage units without the need to purchase two or more containers. It is ideal to use a container with 2 doors for modification – the so-called “double door container”.
This type of modification is especially ideal for large containers 6 or 12 meters long with a division into 2 separate storage sections. However, the choice of a suitable container for modification depends on the specific type you choose.
We can also place a partition into a standard container, but the second part of the newly created storage unit would then require the installation of Hörmann entrance doors on the opposite side or additional gates on the side of the container.
Alternatively, it is also possible to place a door into the separating partition (partition wall). This option of course includes higher costs for the door itself and for the work.
A partition wall or divider in a shipping container can divide one container into 2 or even 3 separate storage units, which is a very efficient and economical solution for storage and space organization where multiple separate storage areas are needed. Whether for security reasons or due to the nature of the stored material.
These independently created storage units can further be supplemented, for example, with hanging shelving racks.
PRICE AND TRANSPORT FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER WITH MODIFICATION
We only do modifications on containers purchased from our company! The price includes only the labor and one partition wall, not the container itself. That must be added to the price depending on which container you choose for the modification. Containers modified in this way are no longer intended for international transport, but only for use as storage!
Free shipping does not apply to shipping container modifications! Not even for 40‘ or 45‘ foot sizes.
The final price is for the selected type of container according to the chosen category + the price for installation and the number of partition walls, or doors/gates. Placement of doors or gates is at the customer’s request within ±10cm according to the trapezoidal sheet metal.
We also provide transport including loading and unloading. Price on request depending on the destination.
QUALITY OF SHIPPING CONTAINERS
Shipping container qualities vary. From IICL 6 after one sea journey, through IICL 5 and CIC after multiple sea journeys, Cargo Worthy containers, and finally AS IS containers retired from sea transport. A detailed description of container quality can be found in our main menu.
However, we definitely do not recommend the last container type (i.e., AS IS) for modification! Modifications are generally done only from IICL 6, IICL 5, and CIC variants.
