Parameters of the container 20′

The 20ft shipping container is one of the most popular options. With standard dimensions of 6.058 feet in length, 2.438 feet in width and 2.591 feet in height, it provides ample space for storing a variety of items. It has a load capacity of up to 28 tonnes and a volume of approximately 33 cubic metres, which makes it possible to store even larger quantities of materials and equipment. Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.

Decommissioned shipping containers in AS IS 2 quality are no longer used for transporting goods on ships, but this does not reduce their functionality in storage. They are strong, durable and designed to withstand harsh conditions.

Decommissioned shipping containers as the ideal storage for interior painters

Discarded shipping containers offer a wide range of uses, and one of them is storing supplies for interior painters. Their robust construction, weather resistance and flexibility make the containers the perfect solution for storing tools, materials and other supplies not only for professional painters, but also for grounds maintenance or direct sales to customers.

Advantages of using a shipping container for storage

Shipping containers, even those retired from active transport, are characterized by their strength, watertightness and long service life. These features ensure that stored items are protected from rain, moisture, dust and mechanical damage. Another advantage is their mobility – the container can be easily moved to another location according to current needs.

With standardised sizes such as the 20ft container (measuring approximately 6 x 2.4 x 2.6m), you have sufficient space to adapt to your requirements. Whether you need to store paints, brushes, rollers or larger equipment such as ladders or spraying equipment, everything can be neatly organised and stored safely.

What all can be stored in a 20ft container?

For interior painters, a 20ft container is the ideal storage solution. Its capacity is sufficient not only for everyday needs, but also for larger volumes of material. What all can fit in such a container?

  • paints and coatings –cans of paints, varnishes or impregnations can be easily arranged on shelves or in crates.
  • Tools and supplies-brushes, rollers, scrapers, spatulas, masking films, masking tape and other small supplies.
  • Larger equipment-ladders, ladders, spray guns or industrial vacuum cleaners.
  • Maintenance equipment-cleaning products, rags, buckets, dryers or dehumidifiers.
  • Customer or sales items-containers can be used as storage for ready-to-sell items such as custom paint, wallpaper samples or decorative items.

With the possibility of installing shelving, racks or hanging systems, space can be efficiently divided and its use maximised.

Storage of tools and materials for easy access

One of the main advantages of using a container as storage is the ability to organise all your needs clearly. The interior space can be customised to suit individual requirements – from simple shelving for small tools to wall-mounted hanging systems for larger equipment.

Organised storage saves time and energy. Painters have all the tools and materials readily available, simplifying job preparation and daily work. In addition, containers can be secured against unauthorized access, minimizing the risk of loss or theft.

Storage for site maintenance or customer needs

In addition to painting activities, containers can also be used for storing equipment to maintain the premises of your shop or workshop. Garden tools, lawn mowers, spare parts, cleaning machines or seasonal equipment can be conveniently stored in the container.

Another option is to use the container as a warehouse for goods to be sold to customers. Thanks to its flexibility and mobility, the container can also be used as a temporary warehouse on a site where renovation or painting is in progress.

How much space does a 20ft container offer?

A 20-foot container offers a volume of approximately 33 m³, which means enough space to store a large amount of equipment and materials. To give you an idea, a container of this type can hold approximately:

  • 150-200 large paint cans,
  • several ladders or ladder racks,
  • a complete set of tools and supplies for painting,
  • shelves of small items such as brushes, tape or foil.

Thanks to its compact size, the container can be placed almost anywhere – in the yard, parking lot, or even inside a larger hall.

A discarded shipping container is not only an eco-friendly but also a practical solution for interior painters and their storage needs. Its durability and flexibility make it an ideal choice for safe storage of tools, materials and other equipment. Not only does it make it easier to organise work, it also saves costs and space. Whether you need storage for day-to-day operations, grounds maintenance, or sales facilities, the 20ft container will offer a reliable and versatile solution.
