We will sell a used 40’HC Reefer shipping container by one sea route. A container labeled HC stands for High Cube, which is approx. 30 cm higher than a classic storage shipping container.

The container is certified for sea and rail transport with a validity of 5 years from the date of manufacture. With its freezing and cooling unit that maintains the temperature from -40 °C to +40 °C, it is ideal for storing and transporting goods under optimal conditions.

The exterior of the container is painted white RAL 9010, which helps to eliminate the absorption of solar radiation.

FREEZER CONTAINER 40’HC EQUIPMENT

The interior of the 40’HC freezer container is equipped with a ThermoKing MAGNUM PLUS® refrigeration unit with dehumidification control for refrigerated containers, with R-404A refrigerant. Interior features include a flat floor, lighting, a PVC belt curtain and a “butcher’s door” to facilitate access to the container.

The ThermoKing unit is a frame-type refrigeration unit. The frame is made of aluminum which is treated to resist corrosion caused by salt spray. In the frame is an electric cooling and heating single-piece condenser/evaporator unit. The evaporator door is a screw type and the rear bulkhead panels are made of aluminum with high corrosion resistance.
Between the evaporator and the condenser part, the unit is insulated with non-flammable (according to ISO 3582) and freon-free polyurethane foam. The nominal density of the foam is 32 kg/m3 (2 lbs/ft3 ). The average thickness is 52 mm (2 in). All aluminum material is 5000 or 6000 series.

REEFER CONTAINER 40’HC

The most commonly used sizes for refrigerated shipping containers are 20′, 20’HC and 40’HC. And the difference between a cooling and a freezing container lies in the ability to maintain the required temperature, either cold or freezing. Depending on how you set the temperature yourself.

Freezer containers can reach temperatures down to -40°C, while refrigerated containers can reach temperatures up to +40°C, all in compliance with ISO standards.

When using a freezer container, it is important to ensure sufficient ventilation so that the refrigeration unit can work efficiently and maintain the desired temperature. Correct storage of pallets of goods, loading height and good air circulation are essential for optimal cooling performance of the ship’s freezer container.
